Escalation

Know when to involve a manager.

Escalation is part of the ticket. When a report needs more attention, the handler escalates it to a manager with a reason. The photos, video and history travel with it, and the decision is recorded on the same ticket.

  • Escalate a ticket to a manager with a reason
  • Review the full report, photos, videos and case history
  • Record decisions and keep the team informed

Keeps working without reception

Every step is saved on the phone and sent when the signal is back.

Pause and continue later

Stop halfway and finish later on the same phone.

Voice notes

Speak a note on site instead of typing.

Voice notes to text

Notes are transcribed automatically and readable in the ticket.

Scan codes and readings

Scan a barcode or QR code and log readings and serial numbers.

Checklists and sign-off

Rate each checkpoint and collect a signature on site.

FAQ

Questions from utility teams.

Everything your team needs to know before getting started.

Do customers need an app or account?

No. They open a secure link in the browser on their own phone, with nothing to install and no account to create.

Does Venta Capture include ticket management?

Every report arrives as a ticket in a shared inbox, with an assignee, your own statuses, notes, response times and a full history. You can ask for a resubmission when something is missing.

Can we use Venta Capture alongside our existing systems?

Yes. You can start by sharing capture links as part of your existing process, without replacing your current systems. API and webhook options allow you to connect workflows when needed.

How does escalation work?

A handler escalates a ticket to a manager with a reason. The manager approves or rejects it, and both steps are recorded on the ticket. Response times per workflow can also notify a manager or reassign a ticket when they run out.

What is what3words and why use it?

what3words gives every 3 metre square a unique three-word address. Customers and field teams can mark the exact spot on a map, which helps where there is no street address, such as a valve in a verge or a cable route.

Does it work without reception?

Yes, once the link has been opened with a connection. Photos, video and answers are saved on the phone and sent when the signal is back.

Can contractors and our own engineers use it?

Yes. Send links to customers and contractors, or let your own engineers open the same workflow on site. Everything arrives in the same inbox, in the same structure.

Is our data secure?

Data is sent over encrypted connections, stored encrypted and processed in line with the GDPR. You set how long evidence is kept, and an audit log shows who viewed or changed a case.

How quickly can we start?

Pick one workflow, such as leak reporting. We set it up with you, and you can send your first link the same week.
