This page is where a counterparty, an expert or a court checks that seal, without asking us and without logging in.

A seal only counts if the other side can check it. If verification needs an account on our platform, a counterparty has to take your word for it, and the seal becomes a claim instead of a check.

A tenant's lawyer, an insurer's expert or an auditor pastes the manifest and gets an answer from the maths, not from you. That is what makes a case usable outside the organisation that collected it.
Files get copied, forwarded and archived. As long as the manifest travels with them, anyone can confirm they are still what was received.
An intact seal proves the file is unchanged since receipt and states when it was received. It does not prove when the event happened, or that what the camera saw was not staged. Capture gives signals, not verdicts, and this page follows the same rule.

File metadata such as capture time, device and location is labelled unverified in the case, because it comes from the file, not from us. The manifest keeps that distinction.
A seal that fails is a signal in the case, in the same green, orange and red list as every other signal. Your team decides what it means.

That the files are exactly what our server received and when we received them. It does not prove when the damage occurred or that the scene was not staged; the timestamp proves receipt, not the event.
At least one file differs from the fingerprint in the manifest. Ask the sender for the original from the case; a re-save or a conversion is enough to change a fingerprint.
