Virtual Inspection Pro alternatives: 6 tools compared (2026)

Virtual Inspection Pro alternatives compared by operating model: live remote support, inspector app, or link-based self-serve capture

In this article

This post in 30 seconds.

  • The fork: most remote inspection tools now say "no app". The real choice is whether one of your people has to be on the camera at the same moment as the person on site, or whether they can review later.
  • The recommendation: for asynchronous, self-serve capture from a link, with evidence you can verify outside the vendor, Venta Capture, VentaVid's guided capture platform, is the pick. If you need a live route for complex jobs, several tools below describe one and Venta Capture does not.
  • Who this is for: claims operations leads, service-desk and field-service managers, fleet and rental ops, and property managers who today send people on site or ask for photos over WhatsApp.

You have the Virtual Inspection Pro demo open in one tab and a spreadsheet in the other. Four hundred captures a month, maybe more next year. And one question keeps coming back: does every one of those need somebody from your team on a call?

That question decides more than the vendor. It decides your rota, your unit cost and whether the customer has to be free at the same time as your adjuster or your technician. So this post sorts six Virtual Inspection Pro alternatives by operating model first: what the tool starts from, whether it is live or asynchronous, what the end user needs, and what each vendor says about the integrity of the evidence.

One rule throughout. Every sentence about another vendor comes from a page on that vendor's own site, and every one of those pages is listed in the sources. Where a site does not say something, I write "not stated on their site" instead of guessing.

If you run claims, a service desk or a property portfolio and the cost you are trying to cut is the site visit that a phone could have replaced, this is the shortlist. Venta Capture, VentaVid's guided capture platform, is the first tool on it, and you can start with a free plan and send a test link to your own phone before you finish reading.

In this post:

What Virtual Inspection Pro is, in its own words

Virtual Inspection Pro is made by V-Insights Systems in Denver, founded in 2024, and it sells itself as "Virtual Inspection & Support Software to Save Time & Money". It ships alongside a sister product, Virtual Support Pro, and both run from the same account.

It is two operating models in one subscription: a guided self-serve capture and a live video inspection, and both draw from the same monthly session allowance. That is the fact most alternatives lists miss, and it is the reason the alternatives below split the way they do.

What their site states, page by page:

  • Delivery: customers join "from an email or text invitation" with no app to download. Their FAQ adds that sessions run in the browser on iOS, Android and desktop with "no install, no account, no password".
  • Self-serve capture: "You send a secure link. The customer, tenant, contractor, or end user opens it in their phone browser and is walked shot by shot through exactly what you need." Blurry, dark or off-subject frames trigger a retake, and capture works offline and syncs later.
  • Live inspection: "Join a live video call with anyone on site, capture snapshots, and finish the report before you hang up." Guests join by SMS or email link, typically under 30 seconds.
  • Evidence: each frame carries a server-based capture timestamp, GPS with a reverse-geocoded address, device fingerprint and sensor attestation, and a content integrity hash, written "at the moment of capture, not after upload". The company lists itself as a member of the C2PA, the content-provenance standards body, and says its security programme is built around SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 controls.
  • Fraud checks: pixel-level manipulation detection, screen-of-a-screen detection, emulator and spoofed-sensor detection, time-window enforcement. Reviewers see "the reason, the score, and the option to request a retake".
  • Geofencing: captures can be required inside a radius, an address or a drawn boundary, with automatic rejection of out-of-bounds captures.
  • Extras: AI defect detection with risk scoring, in-call OCR, live markup, automated branded reports, custom domains in your own branding, webhooks and a versioned REST API.
  • Pricing: public. Pro at 149 USD a month for 50 sessions, Growth at 499 for 200, Scale at 999 for 500, Enterprise custom above 750. Unlimited seats, a 14-day trial, 15% off on annual billing.
  • Industries: 20 of them, from construction loans and equipment finance to HVAC, fleet, warranty claims, insurance claims and property managers.

So why look for an alternative to a product that does this much? Usually one of five reasons.

  • You only want the asynchronous half and would rather not pay for a live stack.
  • You need a seal a third party can verify without the vendor in the room.
  • You want to start free and grow, not start at 149 USD.
  • You are in Europe and want the workflow and the data on this side of the Atlantic.
  • Or the opposite: you want a live-first platform with the asynchronous part as an add-on.

How I compared these tools

I work at VentaVid, the company behind Venta Capture, so read the verdicts with that in mind. To keep this honest I set myself two rules and five criteria.

The rules. First, nobody on our team has used the products below in production, so I make no claims about quality, speed or reliability. Second, every statement about another vendor traces to a URL on that vendor's own site: a feature page, a pricing page, a help centre article or a dated blog post.

All of those URLs are in the source list. If the site does not say it, the post says "not stated on their site".

The criteria, the same five for every tool:

  • Starting point. Is the product built around live remote support, an inspector's app, or a link the person on site opens themselves?
  • Live or asynchronous. Does someone from your team have to be on the camera at the same moment, or can they review later?
  • What the end user needs. An app, an account, or just a browser.
  • Evidence integrity, as the vendor describes it. Timestamps, location, hashing, a seal, and whether anyone outside the vendor can verify it.
  • Who it is built for, and public pricing. Only prices the vendor publishes. No review-site numbers, no "from about".

I read pricing pages last, on purpose. Price matters, but the model decides the price you end up paying. At 500 captures a month, a live-first tool means staffing 500 camera sessions. An asynchronous tool means staffing 500 reviews. Those are different rotas, and the difference shows up before the invoice does.

The six Virtual Inspection Pro alternatives at a glance

Virtual Inspection Pro sits in the last row as the baseline. Every cell is a statement from the vendor's own site or from our own product documentation.

The alternatives, one by one

1. Venta Capture

Best for: teams that want the person already on site to capture guided video and photos from a link, on their own time, with the submission landing sealed in a shared inbox. Venta Capture is a product of VentaVid, the Dutch company that has been building video tools for sales and service teams since 2014.

The core idea is simple to say and hard to unlearn once you have run it: you decide what gets captured, in what order, with what instructions, and the person on site provides the eyes and the camera. That person can be a customer, a tenant, a driver, a contractor or your own technician. None of them need an app or an account.

The model

  • Send a secure, personal capture link by email, SMS, WhatsApp or a QR code on a screen or a printout. The request-by-link flow opens in the phone's browser; a desktop visitor gets a QR code to continue on a phone.
  • Guided, step by step. Each step has its own instruction, an example photo where you want one, an instruction overlay while the person films, and conditional questions that steer the next step. Flows run in 15 languages.
  • Asynchronous by design. Nobody from your team is on the session. Send now, they capture when it suits them, you review when ready. We are not trying to put an expert on every camera session; we are trying to make that unnecessary for as many captures as possible.
  • A workflow inbox, not a folder of videos. Statuses, assign or claim, escalate to a manager with a reason, internal notes, routing rules with an SLA, and a retake request in one click that opens a new case linked to the original. View links work for colleagues without a login; "copy for CRM" pastes the case into the system that holds the claim or the job. REST API and webhooks forward cases by status.

Evidence, as we describe it

Every submission is a sealed submission: a SHA-256 fingerprint you can copy, a signed seal with a version, and a downloadable manifest so someone outside VentaVid can verify the file. The case carries a session timeline (link created, each open recorded server-side, the receipt, every claim and note) and, on the remote claim inspection page, 28 control points per submission: 10 automatic signals, 21 recorded session events and 1 signed seal.

Two honest limits, stated the way the product states them. The server receipt time proves when we received the file, not when the damage happened. And signals (a virtual camera present, a device seen before, a file upload instead of an in-session recording) are shown green, orange or red with the caveat next to each one, because a flag is a reason for a person to look, never a verdict. Venta Capture does not detect fraud; it tells you what it can and cannot prove.

Pricing

Not published, and this post will not quote one. What is public: there is a free plan, no credit card, and a first standard flow is live in about 10 minutes. Flows with branching logic and integrations are set up around your process as a paid project, scoped on a call.

When it fits

Choose it when the volume is the problem, the person on site is not one of your users, and you want the evidence to survive a dispute without asking us for a favour. Teams using Venta Capture for support report 23% of customer problems solved without dispatching a technician. Want to see it on one of your own flows? Book a demo and bring a real case.

Where it does not fit: there is no live video route. If a job needs an expert talking someone through it in real time, see the section on live escalation below.

2. Truepic Vision

Best for: organisations whose first question is "is this image real", in lending, warranty, credentialing and insurance, and who can carry an enterprise minimum.

Truepic's site is built around photo and video authenticity, and Vision is its inspection product. On its own site it describes "Over 50 fraud tests" that verify submissions are original, including location detection, picture-of-picture recognition and device intelligence.

The model

  • Starting point: verified capture. You "customize each inspection request" with short-answer and multiple-choice questions, and the person on site follows example photos, real-time framing and on-screen capture tips.
  • Delivery: the platform "will automatically send a text or email to your customer", triggered from the dashboard or the API, according to their blog on business credentialing.
  • End user needs: their site offers a choice between "a branded mobile app or through a mobile browser", or an SDK inside your own app.
  • Live or asynchronous: asynchronous. No live video route is described on the pages I read.
  • Review: a pre-built dashboard to request and review inspections, custom landing pages, or full API integration into a CRM or loan origination system.

Evidence, as they describe it

The 50+ fraud tests, plus verification of time and location. Whether a sealed file can be checked by a third party outside Truepic is not stated on the pages read. Their blog puts the median inspection completion time at 7 minutes.

Pricing

Public, and the most detailed of the group. Flex is month to month from a 1,000 USD monthly minimum. Standard is an annual agreement tiered from 300 to 5,000 inspections a year; their example reads 1,450 USD a month at 58 USD per inspection. Enterprise starts around 10,000 inspections.

Capterra reviewers mention speed, ease of use and responsive support. Treat that as reviewer opinion, not a fact from Truepic.

When it fits

When authenticity is the product you are buying and the budget starts in four figures a month. If your volume is 40 captures a month rather than 400, the minimum is the first thing to check.

3. SightCall Snap

Best for: enterprises that already want a live remote visual support platform for service and claims, with asynchronous collection as a feature inside it.

SightCall calls itself a "Video Intelligence Platform for Service Teams". Its core is live: "Start a live visual support session directly from your CRM, field service platform, contact center, SMS, email, or QR code", with AR annotation and session recording. Customers "can join securely from their mobile browser without downloading software".

The model

  • Starting point: live remote visual support. Snap is the asynchronous path bolted onto it.
  • Snap, in their words (blog, 28 April 2026): "A claims handler sends the claimant a Snap invitation", the link "automatically launches the Snap experience", and "custom guidance can be configured for each Snap scenario".
  • Where it lands: the SightCall Console, "immediately available for review", and it "can also be uploaded to the claims management system or accessed through API". Handlers can edit and annotate.
  • Live or asynchronous: both, live-first. Their own framing: "Live video remains valuable for complex remote assessments", and Snap is "a flexible path between email-based evidence collection and live video support".
  • End user needs: browser for live sessions; for Snap the article says the invitation launches the experience without naming app or browser.

Evidence, as they describe it

"The collected content is secured, timestamped, and geolocated to help reduce fraud risk." Hashing, a seal or external verification are not stated on their site.

Pricing

Not published. The pricing page says most teams are "up and running in days" and points to a demo. Integrations listed on the homepage include Salesforce, ServiceNow, Dynamics 365, NICE, Genesys, Zendesk, SAP and Guidewire.

When it fits

When you are buying the live platform anyway and want the claimant to be able to submit on their own time as a fallback. If asynchronous is the main event rather than the fallback, you are paying for a lot of live capability you will not switch on.

4. Blitzz Inspect

Best for: teams that want a browser-based live video inspection with someone from the team on the call, and want to see the price before they talk to sales.

Blitzz's homepage leads with "See through your customer's camera" and "No app downloads, no complicated setup. Your customers connect instantly through their browser." Inspect is the inspection product in that family, next to Concierge, Co-Browse and ScreenShare.

The model

  • Starting point: live video support. The Inspect page says "If you can open a text, you can use Blitzz Inspect", with a single-click browser join and links sent by SMS or email.
  • Live or asynchronous: live-first. The pricing tells you: "a total call duration of up to 60 minutes counts as 1 credit", recorded calls 1.25 credits, three participants on the Professional plan, and sessions expire after 30 minutes of inactivity.
  • End user needs: a browser. Links go out by SMS, email or WhatsApp from your CRM.
  • Tooling: geo-location and OCR collection, reports from the dashboard, integrations with Salesforce, Zendesk, ServiceNow and Procore, an embed option and a REST API.

Evidence, as they describe it

Location data and timestamps are captured automatically. Hashing, a seal or external verification are not stated on their site.

Pricing

Public. Professional at 334 USD a month billed annually with 600 inspection credits a year; Enterprise usage-based with a 14-day free trial. Industries on the Inspect page run from home appraisals and insurance claims to heavy machinery, construction, utilities and automotive.

When it fits

When you want an inspector on the call, priced by the minute, without a large platform around it. If your bottleneck is that nobody on your team is free when the customer is, a minute-billed live tool does not remove the bottleneck.

5. TrueScreen Remote Inspections

Best for: organisations in Europe that need evidence with legal weight, where a court, an auditor or an opposing party may want to verify the file without the vendor.

TrueScreen's whole proposition is "Certify your data and make it indisputable". Remote Inspections is the product that applies that to a customer on site. It is the closest of the six to Venta Capture on the seal; for the review side, its site describes a centralised dashboard, reminders and notifications.

The model

  • Starting point: certification. The remote inspection page says "businesses send customers a secure link via text or email. There's no need for app downloads or logins", with the inspection hosted in TrueScreen's application.
  • Live or asynchronous: asynchronous. A live route is not stated on their site.
  • End user needs: a browser, no app, no login.
  • Review: a centralised dashboard, automated extraction of VINs, odometer readings and serial numbers, reminders and non-compliance notifications.

Evidence, as they describe it

This is where TrueScreen is specific. "More than 35 anti-fraud tests" at capture. And on verification: "The seal is verifiable with any eIDAS validator, the one published by the European Commission included, and the hashes can be recomputed with any tool that implements SHA-256." That validator is public. The package holds a sealed XML report with a XAdES signature, a qualified timestamp under RFC 3161, the certified files and PDF or JSON reports.

Pricing

Public. Personal is pay per use up to 2.50 EUR per certification with the first two free; Business from 99 EUR a month; Enterprise custom.

When it fits

When the deliverable is a certified file rather than a working case, and your team's inbox, statuses and retakes live somewhere else. If you want the seal and the workflow in one place, compare it with Venta Capture on the inbox side before deciding.

6. Vyntelligence Vyn CX

Best for: utilities, telecoms and energy networks that want customers to send guided video before an engineer is booked, with AI doing the first pass of triage.

Vyntelligence describes itself as "Agentic Video Intelligence" for field and customer workflows. Vyn CX is the customer-facing half, "browser-based, no app downloads needed"; Vyn FX is an app for field workers and contractors. Named customers on the homepage include Anglian Water, Northumbrian Water and VodafoneThree.

The model

  • Starting point: guided customer video that feeds an AI triage layer.
  • Delivery: "Directly send customers SMS capture requests"; "guided, app-free video workflows".
  • Live or asynchronous: asynchronous. A live route is not stated on the pages read.
  • Review: "Vyn AI prioritises which jobs to review", and their agentic AI "will automatically summarise the key site data, triage it and fast track any complex requirements to specialists". L2 agents, supervisors and managers review the incoming video reports.

Evidence, as they describe it

Timestamps, hashing or a seal are not stated on the pages read. The pitch is triage and productivity, not chain of custody.

Pricing

Not published. The CX page carries outcome figures (a share of issues mitigated upfront, saved visits per year); those are Vyntelligence's own marketing and I have not repeated the numbers as facts.

When it fits

When you run a network with thousands of engineer visits and the win is triage at scale. If your case has to hold up in a dispute, ask them what is sealed and how a third party would check it, because the site does not say.

When a live route is the better fit

I would be doing you a disservice if this post read as "asynchronous always wins". It does not. A live session earns its cost when the person on site cannot follow steps alone, when an expert has to react to what they see, or when one high-value decision justifies two people's time.

Concrete cases where I would want a live route:

  • Coaching a repair. A technician at a panel, an expert on the other end saying "no, the breaker to the left". That is remote visual assistance, and it needs both people present.
  • One-off, high-value collateral. A single machine securing a large loan, where the lender wants to steer the camera in real time.
  • A person who cannot self-serve. Elderly claimants, stressed callers after a loss, anyone for whom a guided flow is still too much.

Of the tools above, Virtual Inspection Pro, SightCall and Blitzz describe a live route on their own sites. Truepic, TrueScreen and Vyntelligence do not state one, and Venta Capture does not have one.

What Venta Capture does instead is make the second attempt cheap. A reviewer requests a retake in one click with a note on what was missing; the person on site gets a new link; the new case links to the original. Your own staff can also start a capture themselves at a counter or a hand-over.

For most of the 400 captures in that spreadsheet, that is enough. For the ten that are not, pair an asynchronous tool with a live one, or pick a vendor that carries both and accept the price of the live half.

If you want to check which of your captures need a person on the call, book a demo and bring last month's list. We will sort it with you.

How to choose

Choose by model, then by evidence, then by price. In that order.

Choose Venta Capture if:

  • The person on site is a customer, tenant, driver or contractor, not one of your users, and you will not get them to install anything.
  • You want the capture to happen when it suits them and the review when it suits you, without a truck roll or a video appointment.
  • You need a seal a third party can verify, a session timeline and a shared inbox with statuses and retakes in one product.
  • You want to start free and be running today, whether that is field service, claims, rental or property.

Choose Virtual Inspection Pro or Blitzz Inspect if:

  • You want a live inspector on the call as a first-class option, and you are happy to pay by session or by call minute.
  • Geofenced rejection, in-call OCR and AI markup are on your must-have list.

Choose Truepic Vision or TrueScreen if:

  • Authenticity is the product. Truepic for a US-centric, high-volume programme with an enterprise minimum; TrueScreen for a European, legally verifiable seal at a lower entry price.
  • Your workflow (statuses, assignment, retakes) already lives in a claims or case system and you only need certified files fed into it.

Choose SightCall if:

  • You are buying a live remote visual support platform for a large service or claims organisation with deep contact-centre integrations, and Snap covers the asynchronous cases.

Choose Vyntelligence if:

  • You are a utility or telecom with thousands of engineer visits a month and the win is AI triage before dispatch.

Whichever way you go, write your minimum evidence set down first: the shots, the identifiers, the questions. A tool that guides someone through that list beats a tool that asks for "some photos", whoever makes it. The photo evidence standards post walks through how to write one.

Frequently asked questions

Is Virtual Inspection Pro the same as Virtual Support Pro?

They are sister products from the same company. Their FAQ draws the line as "an inspection is a verified capture of evidence; support is a live resolution", and their pricing page says inspections and support sessions draw from the same monthly allowance.

Do customers need an app for any of these tools?

Not for the link-based flows. Venta Capture, Virtual Inspection Pro, Blitzz, TrueScreen and Vyn CX all state a browser-only path with no app; Truepic offers a branded app, a mobile browser or an SDK. The bigger question is whether one of your people has to be on the call.

What is the difference between a live virtual inspection and asynchronous guided capture?

In a live inspection your employee and the person on site are on a video call at the same time, and the employee steers the camera. In asynchronous capture the steering is built into the flow, the person records when it suits them, and your team reviews later. The first removes travel; the second also removes the appointment.

Which Virtual Inspection Pro alternatives publish pricing?

Truepic (from a 1,000 USD monthly minimum), Blitzz Inspect (334 USD a month billed annually) and TrueScreen (Business from 99 EUR a month) publish prices, as does Virtual Inspection Pro itself (from 149 USD a month). SightCall and Vyntelligence do not. Venta Capture has a free plan with no credit card; paid plans are not quoted in this post, and the free plan is the place to start.

How does Venta Capture seal evidence?

Each submission carries a SHA-256 digital fingerprint, a signed seal with a version and a downloadable manifest, so a party outside VentaVid can verify the file. The case also keeps a server-side session timeline. What the seal proves is that the file has not changed since receipt and when we received it, not when the event happened.

Can I run asynchronous capture and still escalate to a live call?

Yes, in two ways. Pick a vendor that carries both models in one product, such as Virtual Inspection Pro or SightCall, or pair an asynchronous tool like Venta Capture with a live tool for the small share of cases that need one. The live call versus recorded video post covers how to draw that line.

Where Venta Capture fits

If the person who has to decide is never standing where the problem is, and you do not want to staff a video queue to fix that, Venta Capture is built for you. Send the link, let them capture, review when you are ready, and keep a sealed case with a chain of custody you can show to anyone who asks.

What it takes to start.

  • A free plan, no credit card. Build a first standard flow and send a test link to your own phone today.
  • Live in about 10 minutes. Stuck? Book a free setup call and we build your first flow together.
  • Everything goes out in your own branding, and your cases land in an inbox your team can share with people who have no login.

VentaVid builds Venta Capture. A real person from the team runs the demo on one of your own cases.

Start for free or book a demo if you would rather see it first.
